The impressive Valle Romano Golf Club Resort opened its doors to the public earlier this year ( 2010 ) and enjoyes a quite superb location between the Mediterranean sea and a picturesque mountain back drop.
Valle Romano Golf is proving to be a popular addition to the Costa del Golf offering a high quality golfing experience for amateurs and pros alike including such illustrious names as Seve Ballesteros and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castaño.
This impressive course was designed by the famous Cabell.B.Robinson, one of the coasts leading designers ( Finca Cortesin, La Cala, La Resreva and many more ). The course is set amongst the already well established Valle Romano urbanization of which some 60 hectares where set aside for the golf club which was developed by Troon Golf.
The course is quite long off the yellow tees ( 6200 meters ) with an average of 5 teeing platforms on each hole . The fairways are generous and forgiving and the greens have gentle long slopes and offer a large number of flag positions, designed so that each hole on the course can made easier or more difficult depending on how the green keepers have to set up the course on any particular day or tournament.
The club house is impressive too and sits high on the hillside offering spectacular views over the course. There is a well stocked pro shop with the resort offering all the extra facilities you would expect from such an illustrious golf club.
